Standard Thicknesses

0.25mm (.010″) Glossy one side
Our very thinnest carbon fiber veneer.
A very flexible carbon fiber sheet, commonly used as a thin veneer over other substrates such as aluminum or MDF. It can be wrapped around a 1-inch diameter pipe and can be cut with a pair of scissors or razor knife. This carbon fiber veneer is the ideal choice for adhering to a smooth, flat surface to obtain the amazing depth and beauty of real carbon fiber at low cost.

0.5mm (.020″) Glossy one side
Our standard thin carbon fiber veneer/sheet.
A fairly flexible carbon fiber veneer, it will wrap around a 4 inch diameter pipe. This sheet can be cut with a pair of good scissors or sharp razor knife. Most commonly used for projects requiring a decorative lamination over another stiff panel or substrate. The added thickness and rigidity covers slight imperfections in a substrate that might show through if covered by a .25mm sheet.

1.0mm (.038″) Glossy one side
Medium carbon fiber sheet.
This sheet is flexible, but usually used in flat form. It can be bent around a 10 to 12 inch diameter pipe and works well as a semi-rigid veneer, or a light structural material. Beautiful mirror gloss on one side, and a textured bonding surface on the reverse. This panel can be cut with multiple scoring actions with a razor knife or an abrasive cutoff wheel. Clean up the edges with 220 grit sandpaper for a soft, smooth feel.

1.3mm (.052″) Glossy one side
Stiff carbon fiber sheet
With only slight flexibility, this carbon fiber panel will wrap around a 24” pipe. It is commonly used in light structural parts or dash panels to support gauges and controls. This sheet is our thickest carbon fiber with a gloss finish. It can be cut with a carbide router/cnc bits or abrasive cutoff wheels. As with all carbon fiber products, continuous rim, non-toothed blades work best.

1.7mm (.068″) Matte texture on BOTH sides
Structural Panel – very Stiff carbon fiber sheet
This carbon fiber panel is semi-rigid with just a little flex and usually doesn’t need a backing to support gauges and controls mounted to it. It can be cut with a carbide bits or abrasive cutoff wheels. Standard dremel tools can be used to cut features but plain steel tools will wear down after a few panels are cut. Many diamond coated cutting tools (can be used for all panel sizes) are available at hardware stores for low cost.

2.4mm (.093″) Matte texture on BOTH sides
Structural Panel – rigid carbon fiber plate
Very rigid, this carbon fiber panel is built for light structural components and is ideal for RC car chassis, quad-copters, robotics, etc. It doesn’t need a backing to support gauges and controls mounted to it. It can be cut with a carbide saw or abrasive cutoff wheels. Standard dremel tools can be used to cut features but plain steel tools will wear down after a few panels are cut. Diamond coated cutting tools are also a good choice.

3.1mm (.122″) Matte texture on BOTH sides
1/8″ thick Structural Panel – rigid carbon fiber plate
At .134” or 1/8” thick, our 3.4mm ProPlate is a great choice if you’re looking for the functionality of carbon fiber in a thick structural plate. ProPlate is made from 100% carbon fiber fabric, stitched together in thick layers. The added efficiencies of this pre-stitched material allow us to offer it at a lower price than our regular stock. You’ll get the same performance as our standard product at a reduced cost.

ProPlate will look virtually the same as any of our other carbon fiber panels. The only clue that it’s ProPlate is the wavy stitch line visible on the cut edge. For that reason, we do not recommend this product for applications that involve sanding or buffing which may expose the stitch lines.

Made from a combination of 6K 2×2 twill weave and 12k unidirectional carbon fiber fabric, this product is 100% genuine carbon fiber. Both sides have a textured matte, allowing it to bond to any surface using our 3M high-performance double-sided adhesive. This sheet can be cut with standard dremel tools, but we recommend carbide, bimetal or diamond coated cutting tools.

Custom thicknesses and dimensions are also available. We will manufacture any thickness up to .5”. Our 2×2 twill is available in 19 standard product dimensions from 4”x4” to 50”x100”. However, if you need another dimension, just ask — other sizes can be cut for a small cut charge.
